WordPress / E-commerce

An event prop-hire store rebuilt on WooCommerce and integrated live with a rental management system for real-time availability, quotes and bookings — plus bot-driven downtime fixed.

01Overview

A hire catalogue synced from a live rental system into WooCommerce.

Rebuilt an event prop-hire company’s online store on WordPress + WooCommerce and integrated it live with their rental management system (VibeRent) over a REST API — real-time stock availability, quote requests, and booking creation that reserves stock and returns a payment link.

Also diagnosed and fixed recurring crawler-driven downtime using Cloudflare bot mitigation and server-level (.htaccess) hardening, restoring the site’s stability and speed.

02The challenge

The product range lived in their rental management system (VibeRent), but Sydney Props wanted it browsable and bookable on their own WooCommerce site — with hire-specific details that standard WooCommerce fields don’t cover.

03Our approach

I imported the full catalogue from the rental system into WooCommerce and modelled the extra hire details — table settings, decor and specifications — as ACF custom fields, so every product page carries what a customer needs. A live REST integration keeps availability, quotes and bookings in step with the rental system.
